Old Calvary Cemetery
(Washington Twp.)
St. Rt. 756
Moscow, OH 45153 USA

Take St. Rt. 52 from Cincinnati, pass through New Richmond.  At Point Pleasant make a left on St. Rt. 232, make a right onto St. Rt. 756.  Pass Washington Township Park.  Cross St. Rt. 743.  Cemetery located on right across from church and New Calvary Cemetery.  Park at church.  Easy Access.

Pictures and additional inscriptions taken by Pamela Smith, CCGS member, and volunteers:  Judy Davis,  Cathy Kemplin and Debbie Thomason in the Fall of 2006 and March, 2007.  The cemetery is kept mowed, but we spent many Saturdays just pulling up stones buried in the earth.  This cemetery took a lot of time because of the buried stones and there was a lot of prep work before we could begin our photos because of the amount of stones.  Many Revolutionary soldiers buried there.  I believe the lost stones are buried-- as the last few we found were 10-12 inches under the sod.  They may be located in the brush covered woods or towards the small gulley to the right of the cemetery (if you are standing on the road).  That’s where I found a few buried very deep.  Most of the lost fieldstones were just eroded.
